Another Successful Fundraiser! Thank you!

September 14th-16th we had the Animal Protection Association (APA non-profit org) garage sale fund raiser along with the hard working sisters from This-N-That. A Big Thanks goes out to Betty & Bill Boyd for offering their property, canopy and garage to us even though they had Bill's fathers wake and funeral services Thurs-Fri and then a friend's wake on Saturday. We offered to relocate but they insisted it was ok and the show must go on. I have the Best-est Neighbors anyone could ask! Our deepest Condulances to you and your family.

Another big Thank you to my Mother-in-Law, Evvanell del Castillo for helping me with set-up, unpacking, packing, sales and just hangin out with me. I really needed the help and you were there for me. Thank-You!

New APA vollunteer Heather & son Vincent was a blessing to meet! APA recently helped Heather with her dogs vet bills and now she's helping us! Heather & Son came to the sale, stepped right up and helped make signs, blow up balloons, take sales, and really helped organize and pack up! Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you again!

The 3 Sisters from This-N-That, Cindy, Marie, Alex, and their sidekick Chris, I call them "the four non-blondes"...lol, Thank you for all your help, donations and advertising for APA and mostly, your APA invite to your sales. You have also helped us in the past which helps our sales. You gals are the Best!

Thank you Hilldale Manor subdivision comunity for your organization of this sale, signs, newpaper / internet and flyer advertisements and for the use of your 3 tables and cooler. Jan, Thanks for making this happen and for the Park Keys as well. Sarah, Nikkel and Noah (neighbors) Thank you for your $20 donation for the animals! You are always there for our fund raisers for the critters. Laura Sabitini (my buddy) Thank you for donating items year after year! It's people like you that help us to keep our office open and helping people with their pets. God Bless you all!

Larry Soko.. Thanks for steppin up and working the car lot for me while I was working this fundraiser!

And last but not least, Thanks to my Husband Andy for packing, taking down canopies, storing boxes and taking care of all the garbage on Sunday (your day off) We really appreciate all you do for us.. and the critters!

Even though it rained Thursday, then Fri-Sat was a slow sale, APA earned $118 (then T-N-T earned another $3 sale for us Sunday) so Total of $121 was earned to help people with low cost Spay & Neuter for thier pets.

In case I missed anyone.. "Thanks a Bunch" from all of us at APA and from all the animals that will benefit for help we will be able to provide for them.
We are a non-profit organization and our goal is to raise money to help with low cost of spay & neuter pets to prevent unwanted litters. There are too many homeless animals and the shelters are FULL!!! And have to turn away animals in need of homes & care. Many shelters are closing due to the bad economy. PLEASE spay & neuter your pets! We want to help.. for every $40 we earn (garage sales, fund raisers and donations) we can get 1-Pet fixed! We are desperate to minimize Homeless pets..

Donations welcomed! We need donations in form of retail items or money donation. A tax deductable receipt will be given to you! We are desparate to minimize homeless pets. Please contact us if you can help.

Protect your pets from the summer heat

This has been a hot summer, and if you're boiling, just think about what your furry friend is feeling! Keep your pet safe this summer by keeping them in a cool area and out of the car. Give them plenty of water and avoid taking them out on the hot pavement, as it can burn their feet.

If your dogs shows any signs of over-heating take him or her immediately to the vet. Look for...

-Sluggish activity
-Disorientation
-Red eyes
-Hard panting

Being safe with your pet this summer is just as important as having fun!
